The kosbakkie brings hope
February 2, 2023
God has certainly blessed our little farm in Noupoort with an abundance of fresh produce! Our crops include maize, cabbages, cucumbers, tomatoes, pumpkins and spinach. Not only do the beneficiaries of our Noupoort Light of Hope Homes make use of this fresh produce, but we also hand it out to those who attend our computer classes. In addition, by the grace of God, we are able to share the bulk of the vegetables with the Eurekaville and Kwazumxolo communities. There, the people live in severe poverty and with extreme water shortages, so we use some of the farm produce in the preparation of the food for our weekly soup kitchens in these areas. Fruits and vegetables are also handed out to those who come to the soup kitchens. This brings so much joy that the local children have affectionately named our truck the “kosbakkie”.
