Modelled on the success of the Johannesburg-based feeding schemes that the Light of Hope Homes run, we have recently started a similar programme in Noupoort. The feeding scheme operates on two sites that are near to local schools. Twice a week, more than one hundred hungry children queue for a hot meal and once they have been fed, any adults waiting are fed too. Through our farming initiatives in Noupoort, we hope to have enough produce to expand this programme into other areas.
